Gar Kenyon Aerospace & Defense following a recently completed acquisition of General Pneumatics Corporation of New Jersey announced today the promotion of four key executives in recognition of individual contributions to the company’s continued success and growth. Gar Kenyon is celebrating its 60th year of operation as a leader in the design, manufacture and overhaul of precision engineered hydraulic and pneumatic aircraft components.

Naugatuck, CT, December 12, 2011 – Organizational changes at Gar Kenyon Aerospace &

Defense were announced today. Steven A. Fournier will now serve as Chairman & CEO of Gar Kenyon allowing him to devote his efforts to pursuing acquisitions, business development and focus on the company’s vision for growth. This will result in the promotion of three other key executives. Khoi Vu has been promoted to the office of President & COO; he formerly served as VP/GM upon joining Gar Kenyon one year ago. “Khoi’s credentials and credibility within the aerospace, defense and general aviation industry have had a positive impact on our performance this past year. This promotion not only recognizes his significant contributions to our company but also solidifies the strong path of organic and inorganic growth that we will continue to realize with Khoi’s leadership,” shares Steven.

In addition to these two changes, Fournier announced the promotion of Jonathan Fournier to VP, Operations & Planning and Sam Aconfora to VP, HR & Strategic Sourcing. Both previously served in similar roles as Directors within the company. According to Steven, “The promotion of Jonathan and Sam clearly acknowledges the tremendous value they both bring to the increased success of Gar Kenyon. Jonathan’s outstanding efforts in operations have supported the company’s growth over his eight plus year career here while Sam has brought his extensive industry knowledge and experience to his multiple roles since joining us nearly a year ago. With these changes now in place, I believe Gar Kenyon has secured a solid senior executive leadership team that will compliment my efforts in my new role as Chairman & CEO. I expect that my increased focus on potential acquisitions and new opportunities will result in an even stronger product line expansion over the next few years.”

Gar Kenyon Aerospace and Defense is proud to be celebrating its 60th year as a recognized leader in the design, fabrication, assembly and testing of advanced, high-quality, hydro-mechanical, electromechanical and mechanical components and assemblies for aerospace. The combination of technical excellence, responsiveness and innovation makes Gar Kenyon the industry’s source for hydraulic and pneumatic aerospace components.
